Virginia State Senator Steve Newman
The 2017 session of the Virginia General Assembly is now complete. During the 46-day session, lawmakers made amendments to the Commonwealth’s two-year spending plan and considered hundreds of bills and resolutions that will affect Virginia’s future.
Issues ranging from energy policy, education reform and tax policy took shape for what was an eventful session. As you know, I have always believed that government should live within its means, just like working families must do.
The views of the citizens I am entrusted to represent at the Capitol are very important to me. Please take a few moments of your time to complete this brief survey and return it to me, allowing me to hear your views on issues that may be considered.
These are difficult times, so now more than ever we must allow taxpayers to keep more of their hard earned money. I am honored to serve you in the Senate of Virginia, and greatly appreciate you taking the time to visit my website and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
